The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

I saw "the Island" last week after renting it 3 times and not watching, and was pleasantly surprised. It was good, I mean chase scenes, action, minimal dialogue and explosions. Also Scarlet J. is one of the easiest faces in hollyweird to look at. If you're watching for the FX its all good. 2 cloned thumbs up.

I also saw "Zorro 2" for 2 thumbs down. The only way this movie could have been worse is if the horse actually spoke. Little kids ruin movies, they're annoying and a complete bore at the same time. CZJones looked awesome and Zorro was fighting for America, but that's not enough to save this cliche packed snorefest from movie hell.

Islam is pissed again and everyone knows it cause they're running around squealing like pigs (pun intended) rioting and killing over a comic. I was unhappry with the crucifix with elephant crap on it but I didn't go out and kill anybody, the religion of wouldn't know peace if it smacked them in the face, once again proving they have no place in modern world.

  2. Ebert and Ropert had Zorro 2 as one of the 10 worst movies of 2005. Not surprisingly, they also had other such wonderful reviews for the Fantastic Four.

Among the worst ten was Constantine. Even though I disagree with it being in the ten worst category, I agree with Ebert's complaint about the movie. He said the movie lacked certain qualities that draws the moviegoer into what's going on. It lacked depth and imagination. The characters in the movie, much like the Fantastic Four, had all of these fantastic things going on in the movie, but didn't seem to be amazed and awestruck by it. Instead, they just went through the motions.

If you go on iTunes and go to video podcasts, you can find Ebert and Ropert. There you will find a link for the top ten worst movies of 2005. The download is free, as most podcasts are. See for yourself.
